Utility company NextEra Energy, Inc. (NEE) on Friday reported a profit for the fourth quarter that more than doubled from last year, reflecting a five-fold increase in profit at the company’s competitive energy business. Both adjusted earnings and revenue topped analysts’ expectations.

Reports: Carrefour To Replace CEO Olofsson With Vivarte’s Georges Plassat

French supermarket group Carrefour SA (CA.PA, CRERF.PK, CRRFY.PK) is close to firing its Chief Executive Officer Lars Olofsson, and is in talks to replace him with Georges Plassat, according to reports on Thursday. Plassat is the Chairman and CEO of privately-held French fashion retail group Vivarte since 2000.
